The Chosen Ministry’s purpose is to mobilize the SBCC body to love and care for vulnerable children by seeking out individuals who have a heart for, and are being called to serve God's children.
We accomplish this by:
- Supporting those families at SBCC who have taken the step to foster one or more children with Care Communities who will walk beside them, provide weekly prayer, other necessities, and a prepared meal once a week. The objective is to show the child, and the caregivers, God's love. This supports a successful placement in a loving stable home environment, stability for the child, and can help to prevent foster parent burnout.
- Assist those considering adoption to expand their family. We would like to place a Care Community around them as well, and help find the information these families may need to navigate the process.
If you have a heart for children and want to volunteer for a Care Community, or want to take a leap of faith and open your home for a foster child, are interested in adoption, or just have questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
